Harmony Ripples
HARMONY Project envisions a long-term, ripple effect of inspiring positive changes that contribute to peace and harmony in society.
The HARMONY Ripple Projects are community-based initiatives carefully designed by HARMONY trainees after participating in the HARMONY Train the Trainer program. These projects address important local topics and needs, and are curated by alumni for their communities.
Inspired by the success of 17 local projects implemented in 2021 and 16 projects implemented in 2022, our alumni continue using art, mindfulness and educational techniques to overcome cultural, ethnic and religious differences, support trauma healing, promote youth activism, and raise awareness about environmental protection, cyberbullying, domestic violence and many other important topics. The Ripple Projects provide continuous support to society and create positive change in various communities.
Our aim is now to internationalize the HARMONY Program model, building on its roots in Bosnia and Herzegovina to support locally led initiatives in new communities and contexts all over the world.
WHO ARE OUR TRAINEES?
Our trainees are local professionals and community changemakers who are already engaged in education, social work, psychology, youth support, civil society, journalism, arts, activism and community development.
They are selected for their professional commitment, their local knowledge and their potential to become facilitators of positive change within their own communities.
Through the HARMONY Train the Trainer program, they strengthen their personal and professional capacities, deepen their human-centered approach and gain practical tools to design and implement their own Ripple Projects.
From teachers and psychologists to artists, activists and social workers, HARMONY trainees bring together diverse skills, lived experience and local insight. Their role is not only to receive training, but to transform it into meaningful action within their communities.
