Bridging the differences

To dissolve and prevent further political tensions and ethnic and national based separation among people in B&H, it is important to expand teenagers’ perspectives, familiarize them with the country, people and cultures in their surroundings, emphasizing their many similarities over differences.
The final aim of the project is to create a long-term peace among the younger generations to live their lives without a war.

The project would consists of a two-day workshop in which students from the First Bosniak Gymnasium would be hosts for students from different cities all around Bosnia and Herzegovina, preferably from towns and cities with different ethnic and religious backgrounds: (Trebinje, Višegrad, Bijeljina, Doboj, Prijedor, Široki Brijeg, Livno, Tomislavgrad, Orašje, Brčko… itd) in order to meet each other, to spend two days together participating different interactive workshops, for students from other cities to come, visit the capital of our country and learn more about their peers living there.

Considering the fact that our students come from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, they will work on connecting with each other and forming diverse, little families where they will learn how to build harmonious relationship within their real-time families and friends. They will acquire skills on how to lead a dialogue as a means to release stress and communicate in a better way.
