Today we are united in celebrating peace
You must have heard the phrase united we stand, divided we fall. It is the unity around the common goal that motivates us to make changes. And what better common goal than to achieve peace and harmony in our surroundings?
Europe Day is a special opportunity to celebrate peace, democracy and unity in Europe, ensured by the “Schuman Declaration“.
“World peace cannot be safeguarded without the making of creative efforts
proportionate to the dangers which threaten it.” – Schuman Declaration
This year we are reminded that we have to continuously work together to maintain harmony in our society. Armed conflict brings only trauma, loss and suffering; and peace and love are not built on ashes, but come from dialogue and understanding. Therefore we condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine and hope that peoples´ united efforts to promote peace and reconciliation will prevail over differences and separations.
