In 2017, when SANCHILD was first coming together as a vision, we had our first pilot project in Sarajevo. This one-day workshop came into being naturally and effortlessly, arising from true need. Students that Sanela Music met during previous trips to Bosnia expressed the sadness and fear that was an undercurrent in Bosnian politics and everyday life, and the desire to alter this negative undercurrent in their communities somehow, not wanting to continue living their lives with sorrow and hatred. From these thoughts and verbal expressions Sanela and the students decided to organize a workshop to practice using techniques to cultivate peace. From there, the dream of SANCHILD became reality.
