From Inner to Outer Peace – building Bridges for Peace in the Balkans
We were honored to participate at the Rotaract Peace Conference, held on 4th of May 2019 in Belgrade, Serbia.
The purpose of such conference is to bring together Rotaractors from Europe, to discuss and create a peace project to be implemented in countries that are recovering from (armed) conflict and to promote inter-ethnic reconciliation.
SANCHILD’s Founder, Ms. Sanela Music, together with our supporters from Rotary Club Beograd Metropolitan, Ms. Ivana Zdravkovic and Ms. Jelena Stanulovic, presented the upcoming HARMONY Project and our vision on how to create a ripple effect of positive changes in post-war societies.
We believe that peace starts from the inside of every individual and is carried out in communities with love, care, and compassion. With such an approach, we are able to resolve conflicts and create strong bonds within communities that have been enduring a perpetual cycle of traumatic events.
